Natus Vincere have secured a playoff place with a win over OpTic, while FURIA eliminated ENCE from DreamHack Masters Malmö in two maps.
The first matchup kicked off on Dust2, Natus Vincere’s map pick, where OpTic secured an early lead off the back of a triple-kill from Nikolaj "niko" Kristensen on the CT side; but the Danish squad were unable to capitalise on their pistol round success as Natus Vincere hit straight back to storm to a 7-1 advantage on the offence. OpTic looked to have posted their second round of the half, if not for an incredible 2v5 from Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov and Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev, which enabled Natus Vincere to continue running rampant. OpTic eventually picked up an additional round at 2-9, with the sides splitting the remaining rounds as the Danish squad found themselves chasing a 4-11 deficit.
A pinpoint accurate triple-kill from s1mple locked down the pistol for Natus Vincere and the following round also, but a 1v2 clutch from René "cajunb" Borg on the B site provided OpTic with a lifeline. The Danes managed to secure a few more rounds to narrow the score to 13-7 before an Denis "electroNic" Sharipov three-piece shut them down. Soon after, a magnificent 4k hold on B from s1mple secured map point, with a 16-8 scoreline following shortly after.
OpTic began the second map, Nuke, with a swift 3-0 start before Natus Vincere hit back in the fourth. The two squads then found themselves trading rounds back-and-forth, with Natus Vincere coming out on top as they eventually took the lead at 6-5. cajunb was determined to prevent the half from slipping from their grasp as he won a 1v2 post-plant to level the score, with the Danish side reaching eight rounds soon after. Natus Vincere claimed the last round of the half, ending a substandard CT side with just seven rounds.
The Danes promptly picked up the opening two rounds of the second half off the back of a niko triple-kill to extend their lead to 10-7. Natus Vincere fought back quickly, however, as they soon evened the score out at 10-10. OpTic reclaimed the lead from a 1v3 clutch from René "TeSeS" Madsen, but the two squads found themselves in yet another stalemate as they traded blows. Natus Vincere buckled down moving forward, though, as s1mple and co. secured five rounds straight to win the map 16-12, and the series 2-0 to book their spot in the playoffs.

Over on the secondary stream, FURIA opened their Group A elimination match against ENCE with a pistol victory on the offence, subsequently cruising to a 4-0 lead. The two sides then traded blows for four rounds with FURIA coming out on top to extend their advantage to 6-2. ENCE locked down a three-round streak off the back of a pistol buy round to narrow the score difference, but the Brazilian squad replied with a trio of rounds in kind. ENCE claimed the final round of the half, though, hunting down a three-round score difference at the midway point.
As the second half kicked off, the two squads locked horns in a back-and-forth with each side securing two rounds apiece before ENCE stepped up their game to lock down a number of rounds to level the match at 11-11. Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo attempted to keep the score in favour FURIA, but ENCE continued to answer back. The Brazilian side eventually retook the lead at 14-13, with a Yuri "yuurih" Santos triple-kill ensuring map point, and a 16-13 score soon materialising as Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato ended the map with 31 kills.
Henrique "HEN1" Teles opened FURIA’s account on Train with a trio of kills on the defence, with Andrei "arT" Piovezan picking up an ace in the following round. ENCE answered back swiftly to level the score, though, with a quad-kill from Jani "Aerial" Jussila giving the Finnish side a 3-2 lead, which was then extended to 5-2. FURIA tightened up their defence moving forward as the score evened up at 6-6 before ENCE once again took the lead. arT locked down a phenomenal ace to swing the tie back into FURIA’s favour as they ended the half with an 8-7 advantage.
ENCE immediately levelled the score as the second half began, but FURIA’s overwhelming firepower enabled the Brazilians to earn an 11-8 lead. The Finnish squad could only muster one round before FURIA hit straight back with a string of three rounds, with arT once again going huge, this time with a trio of kills. From here, FURIA rapidly closed the map out 16-9 to take the series 2-0 and eliminate ENCE from the tournament.
